somewhere in the night
there were two lonely hearts
gazing at the sunbeam
that vanished gently with the breeze

the color of your face
faded like the morning light
when darkness prevailed
in the cold freezing air

i thought you'd stay forever
but you suddenly said goodbye
amidst the moonlight and twinkling stars
this harsh life drawn you to your demise
